Dick Pipit and Jack Snipe

Posted by on November 23, 2005 9:03 AM |

Two Richard's Pipits and a Jack Snipe reported from Wirral yesterday (Nov 22), means there's really only one place to be today.....

To find Jack Snipes, see my entry from a week or so ago _ these pesky bird scuds aren't so hard as long as you keep your head.
As for the Dick's Pipits, don't forget the call.....such a giveaway!
The birds were on the marsh between West Kirby and Red Rocks apparently _ for more updates on Wirral birds go to www.deeestuary.co.uk, or check the birdline (09068 700 249).
The ring billed gull is still popping up around the little boating lake at the north end of Crosby Marina.
Don't despair if you can't see it _ the bird is often sitting on the shore with other gulls when it's not at the lake, it's only a tiny walk away, and you get to ogle all the modern art too....
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies.
