Peter Jones from Allerton just called to say he had two Black Grouse up in the Clywdians at the weekend.
Soaked by an early shower at Marshside I headed over to Martin Mere to dry out yesterday.
High tides aren't too bad this weekend, so with the filthy weather (is there really any need for it?), there may be a few reasonable gulls roosts at the usual sites.
A pair of Common Buzzards were displaying in blue skies over Ince Blundell woods yesterday afternoon as I tootled home...
Superb weather over the weekend, so I had to desert my post as wallpaper stripper extraordinaire (extraordinarily stupid more like _ what a lousy job), to go birdin'.

It was minus six as I drove in this morning, so winter's not letting go just yet...
Finally a brisk northerly to freshen things up a bit....hopefully it'll bring a few birds in too.
Got a bit of mopping up to do this weekend, just as well as the region is pretty quiet at present.
