Mother's Day ideas.....

Posted by on March 22, 2006 9:40 AM |

The RSPB contacted me with details of a few events they've got planned at Marshside.

First up is a Mother's Day walk set for Sunday, March 26 _ between 2 and 4pm at Marshside, meet at the car park by the sandplant.
Booking is essential, call 01704 536378, or e-mail graham.clarkson@rspb.org.uk
All the same, if the weather doesn't warm up mighty fast, I don't think showing my mum Golden Plover, Lapwing and Wigeon will quite cut it as a Mother's Day gift.....imagine the scene......
"Hi mum, I decided against the flowers in favour of this splendid third year Herring Gull!"
Whack!!!!!!!
"...but aren't female Teal interesting..."
Whallop!!!!
"...and look at the bill on that Curlew..."
Smack!!!!
Give it a try if you think you can get away with it, or if the sun starts shining, otherwise stick with Interflora and a good dinner!
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies.
