Two adult summer plumage Curlew Sands at Marshside today....courtesy of Neill Hunt
Neill had four or five Curlew Sandpipers there today, three adult summer plumage jobs and one, possibly two adult winter/transitional individuals.
Distant, but still better than I could manage picture-wise.
1200 Dunlin and three drake Garganeys too, which makes Marshside One real value for money at present.
It's Mrs D's birthday this week and her folks are up (just call them "The Outlaws") so I didn't get out today, well, I took Mr Outlaw to the Sands Pub at Ainsdale to drink beer and watch Swallows and LBBs swooping around the car park, but that doesn't really count.
I'll try and sneak out 2moro before they all wake up (shh...don't tell anyone!).
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies...
