Crackin' pictures from Neill Hunt fresh from Marshside this a.m.....Garganey, Dunlin, Whimbrel and Blackwits
Why can't I take pix like this? (on second thoughts don't answer that....)
During four hours at Marshside, Neill managed to pick out 3 Curlew Sands, a couple of Whimbrel and two drake Garganeys.
No Baikal Teal then.
There are loads of Dunlin apparently - presumably Marshside One is the place...always worth grilling (in the figurative sense obviously, they're not big enough to make a decent toastie)...don't forget the Spring White Rumped that Bazzo and I found!!!!

If the winds keep up a seawatch may be in order tomorrow - all four skuas sneaked past on the Solway this morning, so there's always a chance off Formby Point.
My Daily Post column tomorrow is about Danish Scurvy Grass (belay that ya swabs!!) and the Common Lizard survey, which may work if the sun shines long enough for the blighters to emerge (survey form at www.icliverpool.co.uk/lizard).

Dont bother sea watching, Marshside is the place to be, Temmincks stint, Broad billed sand and the likes are all queing up to get onto our marsh.
