This reminded me of one of the first Red Kite flypasts at Marshside. I've checked my notes; it was on 12th April 1979. That was a high bird drifting north on a fresh to strong SE wind.
That makes me feel old!
Kite wise, I had one of my own today drifting over the house here in SW Lincs (yes, LINCS not Lancs!)- obviously hunting rabbits, cats, dogs, small children etc.
Eyes to the past everyone, then eyes back to the future!
Wow a blast from the past - isn't there a law against having two Hunts on one blog???? Thanks Barrie.
Hey Brick, checked this dudes claim in Baz,s Bible (Birds of Marshside)and it appears that Barries bird was the first ever for Marshside!
Glad he moved away, even though he is my brother.
Still need it as Marshside Tick myself, still only 5 records though.
Eyes to the Skies.
