Back in the mists of time, Neill Hunt's missus Jan opened a nursery called Bobolinks (hey, we're birders, what did you expect? Playtimers? Teddies?), which may go some way to explaining the collection of superb pics Neill got on the marsh this week of young birds.
The Redshank above reminds of a Wood Sand a little bit, but it has been a long week...

And finally, Neill's piece de resistance, young Coot - heaven must be missing an angel....

Ruddy Duck and Shoveler also have broods on the marsh.
Mothing last night again (Curlew and Oystercatcher calling in the night) , so I'll stick the details of the catch on for bugboys and girls everywhere later on. My Daily Post column is about orchids and helleborines today, so if I get round to it, I'll put an orchid gallery up over the weekend too!
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies....
