
I think this young Blackbird was just attention seeking a day or so ago at Dempsey Towers - it's not THAT hot anymore (and yes, I do know the grass needs cutting).
What was interesting this morning tho' as I tootled into work at 5.30am was a roost of 40+ Jackdaws on a modern semi-detached on Liverpool Road, Ainsdale,.
They looked to be sheltering out of the wind behind the slope of the roof and a chimney.
That must have been a joy for whoever was sleeping below...
There was a hobby reported at Martin Mere today, and the Ring Billed Gull is still at Crosby Marina.
My column in the Daily Post tomorrow is about mothing, more bugs and a bit of seawatching.
