Nipped down to the marsh late this morning and met up with Bazzo and Jellyhead.
Glorious weather, with larks and Redwings over Dempsey Towers first thing, and plenty of larks over the marsh, where there were up to 11 Little Egrets (yes, ELEVEN) which I think is a peak count for Marshside.
Juv Marsh Harrier hunting the outer marsh, Peregrine resting up on a stump, and everal hundred Golden Plover on Marshside One and Two.
Marshide One had a white headed Ruff, and there was a Greenshank on Polly's Creek.
Wildfowl numbers steadily building, with pinkies on the outer marsh, Wren, Robin and Reed Bunting around the Forest of Bale.
Right, off to do a bit of gardening, then I'll put my pix from the Hebrides up later.
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies...

Tropical just e-mailed me - he had a late Migrant Hawker on the Hesketh Golf Course on Sunday, plus a few shrieking Water Rails in the reedbed at the top of the SSSI ditch.
Ta Paul.
Loads of Redwings and a single Woodcock calling over Dempsey Towers last night, and more Redwings calling over Liverpool city centre at 5.40am today.
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies....
