Just back from a fortnight in the northern latitudes, where men are men and sheep are roadkill (only joking).
Thanks to everyone who helped out with the blog while I was away - stonking pics of the Glossy Ibis from Simon Glinn I thought - I'll update you all on Snowy Owl, Surf Scoter, Yellow Browed Warbler, eagles, otters and sweet, life-giving scallops (mmmm....) tomorrow, when I get over the 13 and a half hour ferry and drive back from the Outer Hebs to the bosom of Marshside.
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies.......zzzzzzzzzzz

John,
Immature Marsh Harrier on the South Ribble Marshes directly opposite Warton Bank (dunno which this is - Hesketh?). Also a Barnacle Goose in with several hundred Pinkfeet over there as well.
Stephen.
