First off, thanks to Peter Button who sent me this pic of a Knot he took at Red Rocks over on Wirral recently.
Haven't been out much this week - first one back at work after a fortnight away is always a killer isn't it?
That and shorter days etc, mean I've just got smaller numbers of Redwings passing through in the evening over Dempsey Towers, plus a few small parties of finches and mipits going over and several Grey Wagtails back around the rooftops of Old Hall Street in Liverpool to report.
Glynn Parry had a Buzzard heading east over Bromborough while I was away and closer to home Derek Williams had a few bits and bobs over on Downholland Moss in October.
Buzzard 6

Thanks Derek (and Gary).
Plus three Ruddy Duck on the lake at Kingswood School (Scarisbrick Hall).
Thank God it's Friday - right time to get me drinking trousers on, then up early-ish 2moro' for some serious birding.....if a Black Kite can flap through Lincolnshire, who knows what's about?
My DP column tomorrow is about the North Uist Snowy Owl.
It feels like a long time ago now....
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies......
