Have you considered that this bird is actually a Martian Murrelet ?
Because of my current commitments and recently acquired green countenance, I have decided that this is yet another example of a strange worm-hole time warp effect, which transported this bird here as a sort of fifth dimensional experience.
It cannot be accepted as a truly wild bird, as it's only been seen in it's transmuted holographic form, and although it looks real, it clearly isn't.
In my non-humble, selfish opinion, it can't be counted until it's been touched, fondled even...or until I've have seen it well, so as to clarify the potential time-warp, fifth dimension situation.
So, I'm sorry you will all have to knock it off your lists until then.
