Tide out this afternoon, but I walked from Weld Road down Taggs Island again for an hour or two anyway.
Nice and sunny and the Shelducks were beginning to congregate - up to 20 at one point feeding on the sands.
Small gull roost, a few Meadow Pipits, Skylarks and the wintering flock of 40 Linnets otherwise pretty quiet.
Handful of Grey Plovers and Redshanks too.

Very pretty sun as it sank to the west tho', which made seeing anything fairly difficult.......

Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies....

John,
Med Gull and Ring Billed Gulls at Hall Rd Coastguard Station this morning. Both in the "feeding area" along with a swarm of BHGs plus Starlings and Common Gulls.
Ring Bill second/adult winter, Med Gull? fleeting view.
Keep eyes on "brassica" fields or weeds therein as attractive to Twites near the Ribble and a mix inc. Corn Buntings by Little Crosby,
Ron
