Plover plea from BTO

Got an appeal from Bob Harris this week for us all to send in Golden Plover and Lapwing counts to the BTO's winter survey before the closing date.
Bob sent me this map, which admittedly shows a rather large gap in returns from our area (although the monthly WeBs count figures are sent to the survey, apparently the good folk of the BTO are after any other counts people have).

For more information, go to http://www.bto.org and look for the winter plover entry on the homepage.
So that's another set of records to crunch from last year then, and I've still got to work out the Hooley Scale of windspeeds for the Met Office.
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies....
