Neill Hunt sent me his shots of the wintering Black Redstart up at Fleetwood today, which clearly showed quite well.
He gave Mike Stocker a lift up there too, allowing him to take his North West list to 147 for the year - none too slouchy.
As with Richard Steel's Med Gull shots, these pictures make a refreshing change from my blurry efforts - I am starting to worry about the effect my shots are having on your eyesight.
Having said that, I do feel that once seen, my Long Eared and Short Eared Owl shots are not easily forgotten......
