Hey hey, thanks to Graham Clarkson who just e-mailed me with news of the first Sand Martin zipping through Marshside this morning.
It was seen over Crossens Inner Marsh by Mike Bird this morning moving north.
Clarko also reports four Scaup still on view from Sandgrounders Hide today, several thousand Black Tailed Godwit on Rimmers Marsh, and 20 Avocets too.
Thanks Graham, and nice one Mike!
Anyone seen anything else? Chiffies must be going through now, and the first Wheatear can't be far off.....
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies....

Hi John

Was at Mere Sands this morn and heard a report that an Osprey had been sighted over the mosses heading north.

Hi John,

love keeping up to date on Marshside and t'Mere from sunny Brussels. I heard my first chiffchaff on 26th Feb !

Cheers,
Rob

An Osprey came on the pager today, flew north over the marsh yesterday, don't know who had it though. good record all the same.

testing testing, sorry chaps, had a bit of a problem publishing comments there - normal service appears to be resumed now, thanks for the gen.

First Chiffchaff arrived over here in southwest Lincs (...not LAncs!) yesterday (13 March). Still busy cranking out its monotonous disyllabic song this a.m.
