And still they come....

Got down to Marshside just after 8.30 this morning, wind still in the North East (thanks Maurice!) which seemed to stop much movement, apart from a steady trickle of Meadow Pipits heading north.
Two singing Chiffchaff from the Sefton Coastal Path and four Redpolls, plus Greater 'pecker, titmice etc, but not much else inland.
At least 6 Little Stints on Marshside One however, about 1,000 Golden Plover, Blackwits, a few Dunlin and Ruff.

Early on a Merlin was on the posts in Wheatear Corner, and later moved onto the outer marsh, while a Peregrine was high over town, heading for the gasometer, either that or thinking about eating something.
Graham counted the Avocets this morning and there are now 70!!!!
The Green Winged Teal was still asleep as normal just by the Sandgrounders Hide. but Mount Baker and the peninsula were quiet.
The Little Stints moved to the back of the Junction Pool, but being so small, were just about invisible to the naked eye, let alone candidates for a spot of digi-scoping.
Good to see three Ruddy Ducks on the Sandplant Pool (2m1f) again, hopefully they'll avoid the bounty hunters.

Six hares in the north east corner of Marshside One were good value, boxing in between bouts of dozing in the sun.

The morning sun made it hard to snap anything from Nels Hide, so Bazzo , Neill, Trops, Jellyhead and I spent some quality time idly chewing the fat.
We discussed the usual sort of things - how Jellyhead came to forget to bring his bins to the marsh today, but did manage to get a fridge in his car, and more intriguingly why Trops felt it necessary to attack a callow youth with a Black Forest gateau last night.
Situation normal.

Ta Si, anyone seen this bird yet?
Apparently it is around the pond at the end of Wicks Lane.
