Thanks to Rich Steel, who sent me these stunning shots of a pair of squabbling Black Tailed Godwits taken at Marshside while I was away.
As usual, Rich's pix are amazing, and you can see more of them at http://wildlifephotographic.blogspot.com/
"Thought I would venture âÂÂover the waterâ last week and dropped into Marshside, a few shots attached from the visit," Rich explains.
"Typically the day I go the teal does a vanishing actâÂÅ lol"

Blackcaps singing away in the garden at Dempsey Towers now, but no sign of any Swifts in yet...
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies....

Two or three Swifts feeding very high over Botanic last Friday, plus a couple of House Martins, early birds. None seen since but there has of course been a significant break in the weather.
Merlin yesterday morning beating up wader flocks way out on the Ribble flats, worse than any dog walker!
Winter wildfowl seem to have gone at least from Banks Marsh, one Wigeon and two or three 'Feet was all I could find. Coupla Common Sands and a few Wheatears.

About time - two Swifts over Dempsey Towers this evening, but my singing Blackcaps appear to have moved on...
