
The more discerning visitors to the blog will have noticed a certain absence, of how shall we put it, Bazzo, Jellyhead, Neill, Trops and I over the last week or so, but we're back tomorrow and the full horror of our latest intercontinental birding mission will be revealed.
Meanwhile I couldn't help noticing the Collared Doves in Dempsey Towers had increased to five individuals just before I went - critical mass here, as once they reach this number, one inevitably gets whacked by the local sprawk.
Will I come home to a neat pile of grey feathers in the garden and a stunned silence of traumatised doves?
Only time will tell, meanwhile what have we been missing while we've been away?
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies ...

Had a few more lifers for me at pennington flash Leigh.
lesser white throte,whitewagtail,common sandpiper,common tern,dunlin, just missed a wood sandpiper by half an hour doh.I'll give you my report on Anglesey when i get back.
