Thanks to Austin Thomas, who sent me these pix today after finding Birdblog for his first visit a day or two back - it's all downhill from here Austin!
Austin explains: "Nice to hook up with you and thanks for the Blog, IâÂÂm really enjoying reading what IâÂÂve been missing !
Snap of the Little Owl as promised. He was quite a distance away so âÂÂjust a snapâÂ? but quite recognisable.
The Nuthatch image was taken at Siding Lane, Rainford. IâÂÂve been covering the Rainford, Bickerstaff to Kirkby area over the last few weeks and I will now venture further north early mornings and evenings towards Plex Moss with the camera."
It takes a strong man to stay sane on Plex - good luck my friend!
Meanwhile in the city, Seth Gibbard adds: "the 2 swans that live by Waterloo Quay apartments (amongst the rubble of the new apartments being built at Princes Dock) finally had their cygnets.
5 in all - born on May 29th."
Thanks for the pic Seth.
I don't know, trip reports from Lesvos, new websites, new photographers - I really must get out and do some birdin' myself asap before my slender grip on sanity is finally prised loose.
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies...
