Just STOP singing

Even as the hot hooley breezed in from the south east this evening and the purple storm clouds gathered, he wouldn't shut up.
I love a good songbird as much as the next birder, but not this particular individual.
So many questions in life...
Why do I have to get up at 5am to go to work?
Why does this Song Thrush have to get up before that and start singing?
Why is it louder than Barry Scott in the Cillitt Bang adverts?
Why must it repeat everything THREE times on the TV aerial above our bedroom window?
Please, in the name of God, just stop...
Not much else to report otherwise, and don't really fancy schlepping up to Walney for the Hudsonian Whimbrel just yet.
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies....

John,
You'd miss it if it was gone!
Cut it some slack, it's only doing what it needs to do to safeguard its future. Bit like conceding to go shopping with Mrs D when a seawatch would be more productive.
Bob.

For the first time since 2001 the Azores High has failed to form - could be seawatching heaven!

Time was that there used to be a lot more of 'em. When I was younger, Song Thrushes were dead common, now if I catch one singing then I stop to listen.

And after the Little Owl and a few pints at the Plough (deserted, and the decent ale was off) a Barn Owl around 10pm hunting on the Crossens Channel embankments, eventually disappearing into the trees on the Merseyside side of the Pumping Station, obviously still hunting.
