
Thanks to Barry Turnbull for sending these two pics of a Common Buzzard that visited his back garden on the Wirral recently.
Makes a change from Sparrowhawks!
Apparently the Buzzard has been in the area for some time....
And Austin Thomas sent me these two pics of young Nuthatches taken in his back garden in Rainford, near St Helens - the birds "freeze" when spooked, making photography a bit easier...

As you can see, I'm birding vicariously through other people's pix at present, although I did see three Sparrowhawks around the Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool yesterday evening (no, not Peregrines, Sprawks) - hope to get out again by the end of the week...
Good tides may mean good seawatching at the weekend, if the sunny weather breaks.
Anyone seeing owt else?
