Torrential rain this afternoon, with a brisk wind behind it, but Mrs D and I still got a walk in along the tideline at Ainsdale in ferocious conditions.
Unsurprisingly quiet, but a few Mipits called over head going north, as did a single Grey Wagtail.
No sea eagles here (lucky Seaforth came up with the goods again today apparently, as the juv White Tailed Eagle seen over North Wales and Prescot came over there heading south late morning), but plenty of Sanderling.

They never stopped feeding, great little birds.
Quite a big starfish wreck, but not many gulls about.
Weather should be a bit better tomorrow, so hopefully a few more migrants will come through.

Usual stuff on Sands Lake - Little Grebe, 35+ Tufties, 8+ Shoveler.
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies.
