In case my awful shots at the weekend didn't quite convey the spritey stunningness of a Ross's Gull, along comes Rich Steel to put things right, with this superb collection of pictures of the Lytham St Annes bird.
If I hadn't pawned it years ago, I'd sell my soul just to have taken one of 'em!
Enjoy the gallery - and if you haven't gone to see the bird yet, what are you waiting for?
Thanks for sharing Rich (link to Rich's website on the right).

Wow.
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies...

Quite interesting at Marshside at 7.30 tonight.
2 drakes and one duck Garganey, to the right of Nel's Hide, plus 4 Little Stint, 11 Dunlin, 2 Ringed Plover, 4 Ruff - one looking very dandy, 15 Gadwall, massive influx of Sand Martins (30 plus), 20 Swallows and 5 Little Egrets flying over to roost (on the Marine Lake?)
Earlier had a Greenshank and 55 Golden Plover.
Eyes to the skies - or if you live in Wigan make that pies.
