
Pretty quiet at Dempsey Towers now the finches of winter seem to have cleared out - no more Bramblings for a while I think.
Despite that Long Tailed Tits, Great and Blue Tits are all prospecting and singing away and seemed to draw the attention of this Carrion Crow:

Get them flying over all the time, but this is the first one I've seen landing and spending a malevolent five minutes or so eyeing up the garden on the look out for an easy meal.
Called a few times, head thrown back and tail fanned, but it didn't seem to bother the singing Goldcrests and Greenfinches too much.

Male Blackcap still about, I suspect a wintering bird rather than a new arrival, otherwise the Sparrowhawk bait is building up, and sitting out in way too vulnerable a position ...
