Rich Steel just sent me his latest batch of superb shots from some secret location in North Wales - and with Wood Warbler, Redstart and Pied Fly there, I don't blame him keeping it quiet....
Such a shame Wood Warbler has become so scarce along the coastal strip now - it really is a red letter day migrant these days (especially if it's a trilling bird at Marshside, but I haven't seen one there for a few years now), with Mere Sands scoring this Spring.
Such gorgeous birds...
"Been out and about after summer woodland migrants (Redstart, Wood Warbler etc) in North Wales. Just need to do some more Pied Flycatcher as I only have this shot of a female so far", Rich explains.

I know what you mean Rich - summer is coming up fast upon us, but at least you have the perfection of these Redstarts to cheer you up...

Looked forward to reading it in the Daily Post every Saturday, so have now cancelled my order with the newsagent.
Excellent tetrading on Croston/Mawdesley Moss yesterday evening with two QUAIL calling, displaying Curlews, pair of Stonechats with young, zillions of Skylarks, Corn Bunts, Reed Bunts and Yellowhammers and flyover adult HOBBY !!
Also two Common Terns over a small farm lake and carrying fish off somewhere ??
