Smarter folk would just have gone over to Martin Mere for the bird fair today, but I tried the Withins and Plex Mosses, which were shrouded in a blanket of dense fog.
Plenty of confused Pink Feet calling in the mists, I only saw one disorientated flock of about 10 on the Withins - but there could have been hundreds hidden by the fog.
Stonechat and 10 Stock Dove on the Withins too.
Plex was very quiet - more calling Pinks, finches and that was about it.
Not the best day to go birding - I hope no one else was as daft as me.
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies...

There were Pinks calling from up in the fog all the time I was out today, and included a flock of about 30 emerging fairly low from out on the beach and they veered south as they saw me ahead of them.
