A selection of Goosander photos taken in North Wales last week. Beautiful birds!
Cheers

Indeed they are Mr Steel, indeed they are.
Thanks for sharing the stunning shots as usual (Link to Rich's site on the right).

Gorgeous things....kinda quiet at Dempsey Towers this morning, bar singing male Siskin and chuntering Fieldfare, so I guess I'm heading marshwards....
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies....

6 Crossbills at Mere Sands about 9-30 this morning, they were opposite the path which leads to the Cyril Gibbons hide.
Eventually they flew off (thanks to the lady with the loud voice) over the hide to the far side of the lake.
Also Siskin and a lone Redpoll.
Beautiful, sharp images in great light!
A Tundra Bean Goose showing well on Downholland early afternoon with 3000 plus Pinks, still a large flock of Pinks halfway between Carr Moss Lane and the Barton road but pretty well hidden from view and also rather distant, with more dropping in all the time.
130 Whoopers and a Little Egret on Plex Moss, with about another 200 Whoopers on Halsall Moss off the top of Heathy Lane Bridge (whilst driving!) also if anyone is struggling to find Grey Partridges, there a few in the field on the bend by Heathy Lane bridge almost daily.
