
The supernaturally brilliant photographingmachine that is Rich Steel has been up to the Farnes while the rest of us of staggered through the summer lull - and the result is a stunning portfolio...you know what they are (although I understand some in Lancs may have difficulty with the tern species????)

I agree, stunning photos. Makes you want to go and see and photograph the birds. As a very amateur photographer they are inspiring.
At Marshside yesterday â Hobby over RimmerâÂÂs Marsh at 8 a.m., also three Green Sandpipers flushed out there while working. Merlin, Peregrine and Kestrel around SuttonâÂÂs marsh and Crossens inner on and off most of the day. Up to four Common Sandpipers in front of Sandgrounders hide in the afternoon and c.450 Lapwings, 60 Curlews and 2-3 Golden Plover on the reserve.
