The numerous Kestrels were having a hard time of it this morning trying to hover as the wind picked up from the south at Marshside.
Neill and I checked the golf course first early doors, but were rewarded with little apart from Speckled Wood butterflies.
Hesketh Rd was kinda quiet, but Marsh Harriers were patrolling the outer marsh, and Nels had a good display of commoner waders on show, including at least 15 Ruff, of varying shapes and hues, and a few Snipe.

Two MIgrant Hawkers dancing about beneath Nels too and a few Little Egrets dotted here and there.
Up at Crossens, the Wilson's Phal failed to reappear, but 50+ Golden Plover dropped in to join the Lapwing and wildfowl.
More Kestrels hunting away up here.

Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies.
