"Been having some fun with waders on the Wirral and for a change of scenery up at Leighton Moss. A few snaps attached".
So says Rich Steel, in typically modest fashion as the latest batch of his stonking shots arrives in my e-mail...makes me want to throw my digi-point-n-press in the bin.

Thanks again Rich (link to his site on the right)...Great White and Little Egret, Sanderling, Spotshank, Greenshank and Barwit all beautifully captured for mere mortals like myself to drool over.
Seem to recall Bill Aspin looking for info about ringed Great Whites recently, well all the info you need about one individual is on the pic above Bill!
I think Rich took it at Leighton Moss.

Ain't seen much myself today, an adult Med Gull was in the roost by Crosby Marina this morning, and a few Skylarks and two Grey Wagtails were going through.
8 Common Darters still on the wing, as were two Small Tortoiseshells, in sheltered corners.
Pleased to hear "Mr Stinky" the Azorean Yellow Legged Gull that refused to perform for us in Oxfordshire yesterday turned up right on cue at 1.30pm today for its afternoon bath.
You can't win 'em all.
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies...
