Hurrah for Tropical Thomason for sending me these shots in a week when the whole world became fixated by the sexy little green and brown humbug in a South Shields quarry...hopefully my turn to join the queue tomorrow.
Meanwhile over to Tropical Thomason....
"Here's a few shots of Jays that have been destroyin me nut bags this week, if they weren't so colourful they'd be gettin' both barrels of me 4/10 right between their thievin' eyes, (only kiddin folks, before some one sends a leather sandled dogooder bangin on me front door).

Tropical adds: "Also a few pics while on a 5 day freebie bender at Mickie Mouse towers, the 'gater is called Buzz and lives in a pool inside the space centre, I think he's fed on retired astronauts".

Muchas gracias amigo, although I must say given the fact you were dealing with a free bar in Florida during your "serious business convention", I am quite frankly astonished you managed to see Green Heron, Common Grackle, Northern Mockingbird and Buzz the 'gator...let alone photograph them.
Pretty quiet the last day or two on the coast, but four Siskins, Jay and Greater 'Pecker through the garden at Dempsey Towers.
Fieldfares and Redwing back in the Birkdale reserve.
The Nocturnal Birding Club opens for business again tomorrow.
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies...
