Reasonable finch flock bounding about and feeding on the thistle heads in the Sandplant compound this afternoon - mainly Goldfinches, with Linnets and gringoes.
You never know, they just might pull something in over the next few weeks.
Mipits scurrying about in the explosion of wild flowers, and a handful of Golden Plover calling overhead.
At least three Percy Sledges still singing their brains out, all within earshot of the Sandgrounders hide, while on the Sandplant lagoon, at least 400 Blackwits were dozing away and Oycs and BHGs were feeding young.
Thankfully the recent downpours have put a fair bit of water back in the pools and drains, and with the help of "Llamavision", Common Sand and a pair of Emperor dragonflies revealed themselves on the Junction Pool.
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies...
