Murky February afternoon looked none too promising, but I gave Plex and the Withins a crack anyway.
A few skeins of Pinkies about, but they all seemed to head out Downholland way, unlike Shelducks which were mooching around in several flooded fields.
The Corn Buntings on Plex are now "singing" away, with the local Kestrels looking seriously peeved about enduring the constant jangly racket.
Two Buzzards on Plex, with one or two about the Withins, where a large flock of 250-300 Lapwings had been spooked by something, but I couldn't see what gave them the heebiejeebies.
Nicest bird out there was a day flying Barn Owl, hunting over the ditches off Engine Lane like a big sandy moth.
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies...
