Can't be long now - spring movement should really be gearing up now, with White Wags, Wheatears, invasions of mipitry etc only days away, if they're not here already.
Sandplant compound at Marshside looks good, when it's not infested by scrambler bikes, but these babies can pop up anywhere.
Listen out for Chiffies etc too, and remember, use the "Comments" section on the blog to let myself and everyone else know what's happening.
Here it comes.
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies...

Hi John,

Chiffchaff singing and 30+ Siskins in New Pale Wood, back of Netherley sewage farm.

A Common Buzzard over my Liverpool garden today and a Kite (presumably Red) silhouetted against the white sky over the M53 as I drove past the Clatterbridge junction yesterday.

1 Sand Martin at Marshside on Saturday afternoon, along with 20 Avocet on Pollys Pool.

30+ Meadow Pipit on the rough ground off Benthams Way/Town Lane today, early signs of Spring!

Hi John, a group of 35 Corn Buntings perched on a wire on Churchtown moss this morning.

Mike.

Monday 14th down Fisherman's Path we both saw a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker (male) in small woodland copse.
First time I've seen this bird. Also Common Buzzard being mobbed by a Crow.

Regards,
Tony & Janet.
