
Good time now to practice digiscoping on the ducks at Marshside, assuming the weather isn't too lousy.
Sandgrounders Hide is best, with Teal, Wigeon, Shoveler etc coming nice and close, if you can get a decent space at the window, or aren't distracted by Avocets, Snipe or whatever else is about.
Took a few shots of this Teal from the top end of the hide, which haven't come out too bad, though I say so myself.




Always worth looking out for Green Winged Teal on the marsh at this time of year - and wouldn't another American Wigeon be cool? About time the male stopped calling in at Martin Mere in the spring, and returned to the coast.
