Second installment of Rich Steel's Mallorcan gallery arrived in the e-mail today - absolutely wonderful pictures as usual.
Makes me want to return to the Balearics tomorrow....thanks for sharing as ever Rich.
The great man sent me a whole load more stunning shots, but I think I'll save them for a third installment in a little while.
Meanwhile enjoy this lot - Balearic Warbler, Tawny Pipit, Thekla Lark and Balearic Woodchat...

Over to Rich...
"Hi John
Well I eventually reached the end of the Mallorca photos. Now its time to start a rather large back log of photos from Spring.
Quite a lot of images attached for you to pick from but only a small selection of what was actually taken!
The highlight of the trip was the Balearic Warbler and Stone Curlew.
Best Wishes"
Rich
Next up are a little bit of Stilt action, and Rich's Stone Curlews...

And finally a nice Cetti's Warbler, doubtless about to do what it does best - make a right racket!

Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies...

Quail calling on Plex last night c.9pm just off the road from Barton to Gettern farm - where the road forks.
Hi John, On 27 July I found a small number of Pine Ladybirds (Exochomus 4 pustulatus) by Southport Muni- Golf course.
These were feeding on Aphids on Silver Birch.
