As usual, the final package of pics from Rich Steel's trip to Mallorca does not disappoint - l love these shots of Yellow Legged Gull, and the others aren't bad either.

Lots of other goodies caught in Rich's lens too, including Great White and Little Egret, Spoonbill, Red Crested Pochard and a very greedy Cormorant.

Mrs D and I have been on the continent for the last few days, but I didn't get any shots like this in the wine soaked fields of the Loire...more details of that particular beanfeast asap, meanwhile many thanks as always to Rich for letting me use his shots on the blog.
Let me know what I've been missing this last week via the "Comments" thingy.
Eyes to the skies everyone, eyes to the skies...

There was a Painted Lady careering over Crosby beach this morning and a Humming-Bird Hawk-Moth along Southport prom yesterday. Recent obs include fresh Comma Butterflies out at Ness Gardens last weekend, 80 screaming Swifts high over my garden at dusk on Tuesday and a good hatch of Old Lady, Swallowtail, Ghost and Buff Ermine moths in my Liverpool garden over the past week.
