Been away in the wilds with Mrs D all week, so apologies to those who have put comments on the blog and not seen 'em go live - I'll stick 'em up as soon as we return.
As is customary when I've been away, please let me know what I've missed this week - much about?
Now that we're heading into the short dark days, I guess it's time to be checking for colour-ringed Twite, sifting through geese flocks and grilling those gulls for the goodies.
Normal service will soo be resumed.
Eyes to the skeis everyone, eyes to the skies...

Visited Marshside last Monday . Not a lot happening though a Greater Black Backed Gull was eating a Teal when I got there . A few Snipe, Pintails, Teal, Little Grebes, Black Tailed Godwits, Shovelers, Shelduck and Wigeon were in evidence though all the waders were distant with the water outside the hides being so deep.
At least 20 Great Crested Grebes offshore Ainsdale-Formby today.
